Urethral stent
Anyone had one?

Had a kidney stone removed this morning via laser up the knob (fortunately under a general anaesthetic) and they put a stent in my urethra between left kidney and bladder for a few weeks.

Am now in the worst pain I have ever, ever known and pissing black with clotted bits in it. Hospital said there would be "some discomfort and may pass a little blood", but fuck me this is way beyond that.

So if anyone has had one, is this normal, or do I heed Mrs C's worrying and head to A&E?

Thanks in advance Dr WHO

I started pissing lumps of blood (because of a fucked kidney) and you have my sympathy as its the worst pain I've ever had.
Worse than having a catheter inserted without anesthetic.

Get yourself to a doctor IMMEDIATELY!!!!

Yet another priceless WHO thread. As Oxsaw said, WHO must have saved the NHS millions by now.

Oh ... perhaps we'll keep you in a few nights,,,

I had to have a bag fitted for a couple of days once, fucking awful experience having a tube up my cock. Hadn't pissed for 36 hours and some fit Welsh bird had to handle and stick a wet wipe around my unwashed helm (I'd been bed bound in hospital, hence the cock issue).

FOUR litres came out as soon as the tube was stuck up my japseye, they had to change the bag twice. Awful experience but a massive relief at the same time.

Just thought I'd share that with you all. It got a LOT worse than that, but this isn't the thread for it.

Fuck me, good luck mate. I had a camera up the old japs eye a few years ago, not much fun.

Especially as it was like one of the JVC shoulder jobs from the '80's

Couple of years ago I had a prostate biopsy that went pete tong and blocked my bladder.... I got sent home without knowing I was blocked... tried to piss it out and all I done was recreate a scene from a tarantino movie in the shower.... by the time I got to A&E my bladder got measured and they has never seen the amount of fluids on one person.... next 4 days I had Bladder spasms with a colostomy bag attached which was one of the most painful things I have ever had to endure ..... old man just had his stones zapped after 2 moths or agony...anthing to do with your water works is off the dsken

Thank God for that. I was praying you'd not given up on us and asked the wankers at KUMB as a last resort.

Hope your knob's feeling better. A blowjob is never fatal.

I fucking hope this site gets funding from the NHS to keep it going - WHO must have saved the heath service millions over the years and they could easily have given 111 a swerve, saving them much more.

Isn't asking a Doctor a better idea than asking a bunch of no nothings on a football supporters' website.

People here no little about football. Trump knows nothing about being President. Go and ask an expert.

Re: Urethral stent
I had something similar about 10 years ago. Had an operation to remove a large kidney stone and came round with a stent in. Was sent home as if everything was OK.

Was in agony every time I took a piss and pure, frank blood was coming out after.

The wife demanded I get seen by the consultant that day. Turns out that during the original operation they cut out some scar tissue and didn't tell me. It was reopening the scar every time I pissed.

Ended up with a huge tube up my japs eye and 2 weeks with a catheter.

Everything is sorted now, but if you're in pain then make sure you go straight back and get it sorted.

I had a local and they tried to fish it out for over 30 mins and then gave up, i saw the stent on my x ray looked like a piece of cotton

Re: Urethral stent
Do ring the hospital, what you are having might be normal (as painful as it is) but it might not and the people with access to your notes are definitely the ones to ask. As Charley said, you might, at least, get some painkillers.
I recommend Tramadol (broken elbow six weeks ago) - they work a treat

Re: Urethral stent
